Every Friday and Saturday from 7pm, you can expect a surprising circus, burlesque and variety show in which Wilde Matilde tells the exciting story of her life.
Imagine sitting in a restaurant reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland. You’ll be escorted to your seat by a lovely little woman who’s hawking sweetmeats, cigarette holders, matches and other pretty things in her vendor’s tray. The bar is a chain carousel where cute boys with cheeky braces and perky melons on their heads conjure up the tastiest cocktails in town.
Above your heads, artistes swing, eyelash-fluttering candy girls hand out sweets and coquettish dancers sway their hips on the bar.

At the Berlin Variety Show, Wild Matilde sends you on a journey through her colourful life!
The carousel of life turns for the first time and begins in the wild 1920s and 1930s. Immerse yourself in this time, in the style of the divas and salon ladies and the most beautiful chansons. Experience burlesque dancing à la “French Can Can” and “Moulin Rouge” as well as bohemian performances of various kinds. You’ll be served by dapper waitresses in seductive costumes, while an exotic beauty in an oversized champagne glass will give you goosebumps.
The merry-go-round of life keeps on turning … Swing musicians on the saxophone spread Glenn Miller charm and whisk you away to the next era. A perky popcorn girl makes her way, “Red Lips and Rock’n’Roll” sound from the jukebox and sugar-watt sweet air shimmers in the sound of twist, swing and boogie-woogie. It smells of fresh popcorn and pin-up girls with red lips, petticoats and lollipops cavort between you. And the merry-go-round turns and turns….
These and other amusements await you on Fridays and Saturdays at Wilde Matilde. Be surprised by an exciting show that lacks neither fun nor glittering costumes.
